Welcome to Process-Fusion.net! I'm Gary Gack, the owner and principal consultant. I've worked with a great many organizations large and small during my more than 40 years in the industry. If you have a need to improve effectiveness, reduce cost or improve delivered quality of your business processes and/or software projects I will welcome an opportunity to explore how I may be able to assist.

Good process improvement ideas come from many sources. There is no "one best way", no "universal solvent". Process-Fusion.net is dedicated to the proposition that an intelligent and flexible integration of proven process improvement methods and best practices, offers the best prospect for success. We bring more than 40 years of experience covering all of the most important approaches. Leverage, don’t re-invent.

We work with you to select and adapt component elements of our extensive library of process improvement assets. Not "one size fits all" – instead, skillful tailoring based on the Voice of the Customer – your voice.

Our extensive library of "building blocks" enables us to respond quickly and economically to your specific situation – "just in time" and "right-sized" – lean, fast, effective.

Assessments

Engagements always begin with careful listening to the Voice of the Customer, resulting in a definition of appropriate scope. Various stakeholder "Voices" (e.g., staff, management, external customers, process capabilities) may be engaged to identify opportunities, preferences, baselines, and constraints.

Strategy

Initially, for the conduct of the engagement. Who will be involved, when, level of effort expected; communications channels and review/approval processes. When the engagement entails training and/or improvement project execution, the strategy for selection of participants and tailoring of the focus and approach. Balancing what you want to achieve (and when) with resources required for success.

Training

Just enough … just in time … domain relevant. Our "low-calorie" Lean Six Sigma courses focus on essentials – the core knowledge that will be sufficient more than 80% of the time.

Many organizations have an urgent need to reduce cycle time and improve productivity and quality, but are severely constrained in the resources that can be devoted. We can help your team meet that challenge and achieve great results, quickly, with a limited investment.

Facilitation & Coaching

As much or as little assistance as may be required to achieve engagement objectives, on site or remote.

Webinar: Defect Cost Reduction Strategies
March 11, 2010 11am - 12:30pm

Industry data and experience indicate finding and fixing defects consumes more than 50% of total software cost in most organizations. Yet, best in class organizations reduce these costs by 50% or more. In this session we will explore how that can be accomplished by using a model to simulate the impact of alternative strategies. The model will be made available to participants in the webinar – you will learn how to model alternatives using your own data.

This session, to be delivered by Gary Gack of Process-Fusion.net, is based on his forthcoming book Managing the “Black Hole”: The Executive’s Guide to Software Project Risk.
